PFC-53-125 AC/DC Power Supply

Absopulse Electronics’ PFC 53-125EH industrial quality, AC/DC plug-in switching power supply generates 200W output power. It uses established field-proven topology, which includes a power factor corrected input and a following half-bridge stage, to convert the universal AC input voltage to a 125Vdc output, with convection cooling. All heat-generating components on the module are installed on aluminum heatsink blocks, which are connected to the heatsink fins on the side of the module, ensuring excellent heat dissipation.

The PFC 53-125EH plug-in unit has a built-in redundancy diode for parallel connection or N+1 redundant operation, including hot-insertion. It includes a module fail alarm with an optocoupler output. This compact module measures 3U x 14HP x 220mm and is typically used in 19” rack-mount applications. The front panel of the module has an output voltage ”˜ON’ LED indicator, as well as test points.

The power factor is corrected to a minimum of 0.97 at full load for the entire input range in compliance with the EN6100-3-2 directive for low input harmonic distortion. The unit has input and output filtering to meet EN55022 EMI standards. Full electronic protection on the input and output eliminates the possibility of failure due to abnormal operating conditions, including application errors. Low component count, large design headroom, and the use of components with established reliability result in a high MTBF. Designed for heavy-duty industrial environments, the PFC 53-125EH meets IEC61371 Categories 1A&B shock and vibration standards as a minimum.
